Bukit Malawati

Bukit Malawati

This is a random post, but I just wanted to write about it. I happened to be in Kuala Selangor yesterday, and decided to visit Bukit Malawati.

I went at about 5pm. The place was pretty crowded – to be honest, I’d never heard of this place before but it seemed to be quite the tourist attraction.

Here are a couple of pictures  I took. I’m not going to write a lot about it, because all I did was take a tram ride up (it’s only RM3) to take a look around the place. It’s very nice being on the tram cause it’s windy and relaxing (I’m lazy, it would probably be a lot more exciting to actually get on your feet and walk about) and you can see lots and lots of monkeys. Unlike the monkeys that used to be in my university, University of Malaya, these monkeys were very chilled and friendly and were really, hanging out with people there. People there were feeding the monkeys and the monkeys were very well behaved. Previously in my universities, it was a human vs monkey war because all those monkeys used to do was climb into our rooms (thanks, UM, thanks for not installing grills) and steal our food. Once, someone’s calculator got thrown out onto the roof too. So, no, not too fond of monkeys.

Anyway, here are a couple of pictures of the place :

This is me looking out of the tram.

This is the tram.

Monkeys chilling out. Lots and lots of monkeys, although only one in this picture.

Here, you have monkeys and kiddies playing together. This was a really cute sight!

Monkey being fed some vegetable.

Monkey has uber long tail! Don’t pull!

But what I really wanted to write about was this :

Clean your freaking toilets! First of all, the toilets had no locks so people had to stand outside the toilets and hold the door for their friends.

Second of all, as you can see, it was a right mess.

Thirdly, you should be happy you cannot smell through pictures.

The verdict is, it's a nice place to go and walk around. But the toilet is horrible, and that's a huge turn off point, so really those folks over there should do something about its maintanence (and repair the locks! I don't want to pee while being in fear of someone barging in!)

That’s it for today folks. Ciao!
